VESI sponsors the Luke's Wings 6th Annual Pro-Am Heroes Golf Series.
This exciting event at the Lakewood Country Club, hosted by Luke's Wings, is the Pro-Am Heroes Golf Classic. VESI provided sponsorship and all tournament proceeds benefit the charity to provide complimentary airfare to wounded service members and their loved ones during recivery. It was an absolutely beautiful day to play golf as the event featureed 18 holes and post-play reception with logs of food to enjoy.
As guests arrived, they were able to enjoy a lunch buffet and practice on the driving range before the start. after the tournament, everyone gathered for a wonderful dinner with guest speakers including an auction to help raise even more proceeds.

VESI teams up with the Luke's Wings Charity Walk/Run.
Sunday, September 17th I Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart I 10 am
Luke's Wings, a non-profit, provides complimentary airfare to wounded service members and their loved ones during rehabilitation and hospitalization. To date, they have provided 3,300 flights to military families in need. On September 17th, we are walking so others can FLY!
This walk doesn't end after you cross the finish line! Join walkers at the Community Block Party, fit for any age. Watch the football game at the mobile bar, grab a bite to eat at one of our food trucks and enjoy music and local vendors with the families YOU support!

An important part of our culture is supporting charities.
On April 8, 2017, at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C., Luke's Wings 6th Annual Gala honored USMC Sergeant Joshua Lopez (RET.).
Luke's Wings hosts fundraisers throughout the year to raise money and awareness to show appreciation to their supporters, sponsors, and wounded service members.
There were live musical performances by Captain Luis Avila, US Army and Combat Medic Peter "Harmonica Pete" Dupre, US Army. Harmonica Pete is a WWII Veteran, 93 years young and performs all over the United States with his harmonica.
Our President and CEO, John Plott, presented the "Heroes Award" to the guest of honor: Sergeant Joshua Lopez of the United States Marine Corps (RET.) who is a Purple Heart Recipient.
Our CEO said, "I was very proud and honored to present the "Heroes Award" to this year’s recipient, USMC Sergeant Joshua Lopez."
As a fundraising event, there was also a live auction where attendees could bid on an array of items such as art sculptures by Veterans, airline tickets for families in need, or a golf package and many more great items.
Following the live auction Karena Gardner, our Director of Operations also spoke providing an update on Luke's Wings success in 2016.
Everyone in attendance felt honored as we got to celebrate our veterans and this great organization: Luke’s Wings.
