See how VetsAmerica is supporting the VA's National Center for Ethics by maintaining their ECWeb web application.
VetsAmerica currently maintains the ECWeb web application for the VA Ethics Center. This application was an expansive, dynamic, data-driven web application built within .NET and ColdFusion MX tied to a SQL2000 database server. VetsAmerica established a self hosted testing environment mimicking the VA server environment following analysis of the existing application and VA infrastructure supporting the application during transition. This work involved weekly meetings with the client reviewing and analyzing existing bugs, user patterns, and tracking issues with the web application’s content. Test plans were developed using multiple testing scenarios and presented to the client for approval. The bugs were tracked within a Problem / Action log and once the source of each bug was discovered and an approach was approved, the fixes were initiated within the testing sandbox. The fix was implemented and tested thoroughly through a variety of use cases, and then submitted to the client for review within the testing environment prior to implementation into the live environment. Extensive documentation was performed on all fixes and new pages within ECWeb and kept within a library for ease of access and future reference. Other tasks within this contract included interface enhancements, feature expansion, and implementation of new features as requested by the client. All work was performed in adherence to PMAS specifications, and documented using the appropriate Propath documentation.
