VetsAmerica was founded in November 2002 by CEO John E. Collins, a Vietnam service-disabled veteran and recipient of the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat "V". VetsAmerica's purpose is to provide innovative and cost-effective business strategies and solutions delivered with an unparalleled patriotic commitment. VetsAmerica specializes in providing programmatic and technical support in the areas of enterprise infrastructure and information assurance solutions to federal clients. In February 2007, VetsAmerica was awarded a prime contract on GSA’s VETS GWAC (ten years, with a ceiling of $5 billion) and has competed for and won tasks under that contract. VetsAmerica has over nine (9) years of successful experience supporting Federal agencies on a nationwide scale.

Leadership Team
| John has more than 30 years of professional experience in management, systems and organizational consulting within the Federal, State and local sectors. He has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills with the founding in 1990 and subsequent sale in 2002 of Collins Consulting Group, a boutique information security firm. He founded VetsAmerica in 2002 and has positioned the firm for continued growth. Prior to founding his own companies he spent the majority of his working career at Booz-Allen, rising from entry consultant to Principal. He spent six years in the U.S. Navy, four of which were on combatant ships as Engineering Officer participating in Market Time Operations in Vietnam. He was also Aide to Commander, Manned Spacecraft Recovery Force for Apollo missions 9 through 14. He has a BS from Illinois Tech and an MSA from George Washington University. |

Akhil has 14 years of professional experience, nine of which are in Information Assurance. He has proven expertise in security architecture, application security testing, certification and accreditation, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability assessments, incidence response and risk analysis. Prior to his employment with VetsAmerica, he provided security services to numerous government agencies. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has a BS in Information Systems. |  |
Jiying joined VetsAmerica as the CFO in October 2007. She has extensive experience in Corporate Finance and Accounting, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions and contract oversight. While with Collins Consulting Group she successfully supported the company's acquisition. She spent several years with MAXIMUS, Inc. in the Corporate Finance Department and also in auditing healthcare delivery systems. She has a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and is a registered CPA in Arizona and Virginia. |
